Yoichi Hatta

Yoichi Hatta is a wanted fugitive in Japan. He is on the national most-wanted list for a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture in June 2022. A university student was killed when Hatta allegedly rammed his car into two students on a motorcycle at nearly 100 km/h. He fled the scene and has been on the run ever since. In June 2025, the charges were upgraded from hit-and-run to murder and attempted murder, eliminating the statute of limitations. A reward of up to 8 million yen is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
